PIROK Cat Show Information – September 20–21, 2025

Before the Show

Please make sure that your cat is entered in the correct class. If there are any errors or changes, notify us by email at show@pirok.org.

Arrival and Parking

The show takes place during the Pet Fair at Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre (TESC). Our show will be held in Hall D. Entry to Hall D is through the main entrance of the Exhibition Centre, then through the lobby to Hall D.

Upon arrival, each exhibitor will receive a stamp which grants access to the venue for the day.

One person per entered cat is allowed free entry to the show and the fair. Additional tickets can be purchased at the door or via Lippu.fi.

Parking for exhibitors is available in area P2, at the end near Hall E. Parking is subject to a fee, payable at the venue cashier or via the Moovy app.

Check-in and Veterinary Control (Spot Checks)

Every cat participating in the show must be checked in on arrival. During check-in, vaccinations and other required documents will be inspected – please keep all your cat’s paperwork easily accessible.

Vaccinations must have been administered no later than September 5, 2025 (for cats attending only on Sunday: no later than September 6, 2025).
Note: The Nobivac vaccine is valid for 1 year only.

For detailed vaccination guidelines, visit:

There are three check-in stations, and check-in is arranged alphabetically by exhibitor’s last name. Cats checked in on Saturday can also be marked as present for Sunday. If your cat will not attend on Sunday, please inform us at show@pirok.org.

Veterinary checks will be conducted randomly near the D Hall entrance.

Cage Spaces

Cage placements are numbered on Saturday. A map will be published before the show on the PIROK website and Facebook page.
If your cat’s number is missing from the map (Saturday only), notify the Show Manager immediately: nayttelypaallikko@pirok.org.

Cage location requests can no longer be accepted.

Cats entering only on Sunday will receive their number slip at check-in and will be placed in available cages – there will be plenty.

The larger part of the number slip should be attached to the cage facing the visitor aisle.

Judging and Panels

All categories will be judged on both days, and Best in Show winners will be selected daily. The show follows the traditional judging order, but check the schedule for judges evaluating multiple categories. Each judge's table will have a list of cat numbers in judging order.

If your cat qualifies for a higher class on Saturday and is also participating on Sunday, you must report the class change at the show secretariat.

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the cat competes in the correct class. Be aware of the counter-signature requirements, especially in Classes 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Rules regarding titles and class progression can be found starting on page 22 of the FIFe Finland rulebook:

Parallel Judging

  • On Saturday, student judge Sanna-Leena Santapakka will conduct parallel judging for Category 4. All cats judged by Sara Ojaniemi (supervising judge) may be asked to participate, though all Category 4 cats may be called.

  • On Sunday, Marianne Roth will conduct parallel judging for Group D of Category 4. All cats of breeds BAL, OLH, OSH, and SIA are invited to this evaluation. Supervising judge: Caroline Stoa

Tujoma provides cat litter for all participants. We kindly ask exhibitors to take any unused litter home with them. Due to its weight, please do not dispose of litter in show trash bins.

General Information

Please note that our show is part of Lemmikki Tampere 2025. The cages will be arranged in euro-rows. Each cat must be provided with a private and calm space inside its cage – e.g., a bed or extra curtains.

All cats must remain at the show until 17:00 each day. In case of illness, contact Show Manager Anne Ahlberg.

Unofficial Special Competitions will be held:

  • Saturday: for kittens, and a themed competition for red and black cats.

  • Sunday: for juniors.

Registration for special competitions is on site.
A plush toy cat show will also take place on both days. Sign-up required for plush toy show & kitten&junior speacial.
